Kit Batten studies the role of soil microbes in the invasion of
California native grasslands Kit Batten studies how soil microbes affect the invasion of native serpentine grasslands and spent eight weeks as an intern with the Global Invasive Species Programme in Washington, DC. She now is an AAAS Congressional Fellow in the office of US Senator Joseph Lieberman.
