Achievement Rewards for College Scientists Awards (ARCS) Scholarships
The ARCS Foundation scholarship fund provides either one quarter of registration and partial stipend support or support for research related expenses. The call for nominees is sent by the Office of Graduate Studies in either late Winter or Spring quarter. Eligible graduate programs across campus nominate students for review by the ARCS Foundation. ARCS Scholars should expect to interact with members of  the ARCS Foundation and to attend the annual ARCS Scholars Luncheon.  All CPB Affiliates who are U.S. citizens are eligible.

Pop Bio encourages all of its students to apply for external funding opportunities. Our students hold a number of prestigious multi-year awards from such government agencies as: The National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF-GRFP), the Environmental Protection Agency Science to Achieve Results Fellowship (EPA STAR), the National Defense Science and Engineering Program (NDSEG), and the Krell Institute Dept. of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellowship (DOE-CSGF) just to name a few.

These multi-year fellowships provide competitive stipends, in-state fee remission, non-resident tuition (if applicable), research and travel funds, and excellent opportunities for students to attend conferences with their peers and world-renowned academics.

Hint: Many of these agencies allow for college seniors to apply before admission to grad school. Not only is this good practice in applying for funding, applying early can give you a competitive edge on your admission applications.
